“ Cross street is a cool Korean Fusion hipster restaurant. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered the classy as cluck fried chicken sandwich. This thing was HUGE. The chicken was crunchy and quite moist. It was very good, but it could have used more sauce. It lands in the middle of my top ten fried chicken burgers. The flavor was good if understated. The Bul dok chicken had crazy good presentation and my wife and daughter liked it alot. The cheese corn was very unique and very, well, cheesy. It was good but not great for me. I think it could have used some fried chicken in it to add more texture and flavor or because the cheese overwhelmed the corn. Though my wife did like it. The restaurant has a nice chill, just hang out vibe. ”

“ I dream about this place. It is so good, I tried it for the first time years ago and still come here regularly. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating with a nice chill vibe. The service is amazing and the food came out in a timely manner. My friend and I ordered the Seoul Chicken Sandwich and the Hot Chick Sandwich which is a regular order for us because it is so good. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy and everything that's on it just works. would definitely ask for the sandwiches to be cut in half to be easier to eat. The fries were very crispy also. ”

“ I've passed this place up many times, but boy am I glad I finally stopped by. It's right on the corner and though parking is annoying. We got a 10 piece wing, kimchi, and fries. The kimchi? DIVINE. They need to sell it by the pound because I would snatch that up so fast. The fries were also so yummy, we got the Cajun fries and they were perfect. For the wings we got the korean fried OG dry rub and honey butter. The og dry rub was AMAZING, perfect mix of sweet and salty and tender and crunchy. The honey butter was definitely just that and it had a nice balance between the two. The servers and staff were wonderful and the ambience is about what you'd expect, we really enjoy this place and will definitely become regulars. ”

“ We visited here on Saturday 1/4/24. We got the 18 wing platter half soy garlic and half honey butter, two sides of rice, and the house salad to start. The house salad was surprisingly delicious, though incredibly simple! It was refreshing, light, and the dressing was yummy. Our wings came out next and these were some of the crispiest wings I have ever had in my life. The soy garlic was savory and had a lot of great flavor. The honey butter was good, but a little too sweet for my taste. I probably wouldn't get that flavor again, but if that's what you're into then you will love it! Our servers were very attentive and checked on us regularly to make sure that we had everything we needed. It's located on convoy which can get pretty busy at night. I recommend coming before 6 pm and parking in the residential streets behind the restaurant. They do have their own parking lot, but it can get pretty packed. You can also no longer park within the bike lanes on Convoy, so the street parking directly on Convoy is limited now. Overall 10/10!! ”

“ My husband and I stoped in for happy hour last week and had a great time! We were pleasantly surprised when we saw how much parking there was and once inside we were seated right away. Our server was super nice and helpful. She answered any questions we had and made the experience that much more enjoyable. We sat inside at a booth which was nice. They also have outdoor seating on the back patio. The food was so good! The portion of corn cheese was awesome, perfect to share. And the fact they still have a happy hour! Even better! Next time we visit I plan to try the Seoul Spicy chicken sandwich and Korean rice cakes. ”

“ Solid 4 stars here, I had a craving for Korean fried chicken and had memories of Seoul and the chicken wings I had earlier in the year in Asia. Of course I lowered my expectations as we were in San Diego and not Korea. Here is my take on Cross Street, I love the atmosphere and the classic 90s music that was playing. My kids loved the fail videos on the two tvs in the dining area. First off service was good, they were cordial and asked if we needed anything--I will also say they were busy on Jan 1 but remained cool and calm. We came during happy hour that ends at 6pm (weekdays) and we got the two chicken tenders, garlic parm fries, and 10 piece wings with soy garlic and Seoul sauces. The tenders were a bit dry but the sauces were good, I would say without the sauces the chicken would be bland. However, their saving grace was the variety of sauces they provide and offer. I thought there would be more of a crunch but it was about a medium crunch. As other yelpers have mentioned the fries were good! I think I am still uncertain about Pelicana versus Cross Street. However, the prior was closed so Cross Street it was. Give this place a try and it will be a solid 4 stars. ”

“ Ample parking depending time when you arrive. Lots of Space indoor and outdoor and we sat outside with the heat lamps. Service friendly, professional and thoughtful. Our first time here and our waitress helpful on questions with the menu. I've been craving fried chicken and Thai place was recommended by my sister and the food and service didn't disappoint. We ordered the wings in Korean savory and sweet sauce and half the other batch of chicken wings was in soy garlic - absolutely delicious! Also, we ordered a side of fries cooked to perfection, fresh and crispy! My mouth was salivating at every bite of the chicken and fries. We also ordered the mango salad to even put all the fried food we were eating and the freshness on point and the creamy cilantro salad - spectacular flavor. Thank you for your hospitality as we had a sweet experience and plan to return for Your Happy Hours. Happy hours is Monday - Friday from 3-6pm. There is also a special $1.00 chicken wings every Monday. See you soon... ”

“ In my opinion, Cross Street is a pretty solid spot in the Korean Fried Chicken scene in San Diego. There's quite a few joints to choose from by Cross Street is definitely in the top 3 in my opinion. It's located in the same center as Bing Haus and Grandma's Tofu House, so parking is definitely a challenge depending on what time you go. However, there's the side street to park on as well if you don't mind a little longer walk or you can pak in the lots across the street. The restaurant itself isn't too big but still seats a good amount. It's relatively clean. It's a covered patio, but I'm not sure if they're dog friendly. I don't really have issues with the service. Staff was kind and helpful. They were very attentive. Overall, they were doing their job and nobody could argue with that. Food itself was pretty good, but it just ran much more on the pricey end. My friend and I shared the CS Fries and the bone in Seoul Spicy and Garlic Parm wings. The fries were okay, but we were saying we would've just preferred plain fries cause it felt like they were tok saucey. The wings were good though. They were nice and crispy and honestly the flavor was pretty good. I would say this is overall a solid joint for some Korean Fried Chicken. Is there better? Yes. Is there worse? Yes. But the pricing on here, even though its expensive, is not as bad as some other places. At least you get relatively decent food. Give them a try! ”

“ Came here on a Wednesday for a late night dinner. We got there a little over an hour before closing. We were seated right away. We ordered the spring salad, which was refreshing. The mango dressing was very good. It was a pretty decent serving with a generous amount of chicken. We also ordered noonas noodle soup, which was pretty flavorful. We got the 10 piece Korean chicken as well with half honey butter and half soy garlic. The wings were pretty decent. The sauces were good but overall nothing super crazy to rave about. Service was good, the food came out pretty quick. Overall a good spot to grab a late dinner. ”

“ Cross Street holds a special place in my heart because it was the first meal my coworkers invited me to order with them at this job when I had newly started. I've only had their chicken sandwiches, but the chicken is good quality, the breading is optimal, and the flavors I've tried have been good (hot chicken and classic chicken). The sandwiches are also huge and could probably be split with another person. That being said, the sandwiches are pretty expensive when you compare them to the average chicken sandwich: around a whopping $15, which doesn't include a side. It's also about $5 extra to add a side, and I'm sorry but fried potato products should not be that expensive. The employees here were definitely nice, and the restaurant was mostly clean, but their arrangement of the tables and chairs is kinda odd and awkward, and all the booth seats look like they need to be replaced. Haven't tried the drinks here yet but may come back some day for a trivia night. Other than that, can't really see myself spending too much time inside of this place, and will probably continue to order takeout from here (and only occasionally because $$$). ”
